Your striker build in Pro Clubs dictates whether you're a target man holding up play or a speedster running in behind. There's no single "best" build - it depends on your squad's playstyle - but some setups are consistently more effective than others.
The Meta Striker Build
The current meta favours pace and agility. Most top clubs run strikers built for quick transitions:
- Height: 5'9" – 5'11" (180cm max)
- Weight: Lean (lowest setting)
- Body type: Average or lean
This gives you the highest possible acceleration and sprint speed while keeping dribbling tight. The trade-off is aerial presence - you won't be winning many headers.
Skill Point Priorities
Allocate your skill points in this order of importance:
- Finishing - Non-negotiable. Max this first.
- Pace (Acceleration + Sprint Speed) - The gap between beating a defender and being caught.
- Dribbling (Agility + Ball Control) - Tight spaces in the box need quick feet.
- Shooting (Shot Power + Long Shots) - For when you can't get into the box.
- Passing - Only invest here if you play a false 9 role.
Target Man Alternative
If your club plays with wingers who cross, consider a target man:
- Height: 6'2"+ (188cm+)
- Weight: Heavy
- Key stats: Heading Accuracy, Strength, Positioning
You'll sacrifice pace but dominate set pieces and aerial duels. This build works best when paired with a smaller, faster second striker.
Playstyle Tips
- Make runs early. The AI defence reacts slower to runs started before the ball is played.
- Use L1/LB triggers. Manual runs create space your teammates can exploit.
- Don't chase the ball. Stay high and central. Your job is to be in position when the ball arrives.
- First-time shots. In the box, one touch is usually all you get. Practice first-time finishes.
