Pro Clubs vs Rush Mode in EA FC: What's the Difference?

5 min readUpdated March 4, 2026

EA FC Pro Clubs and Rush Mode are two different ways to play team football online. They share some features but are built for completely different experiences. Here's how they compare so you can decide which fits your goals.

What Is Pro Clubs?

Pro Clubs (officially called Clubs in EA FC 25) is the classic 11v11 online mode where you create a virtual pro and play for a persistent club. You join a squad of up to 10 other human players and compete in league seasons, climbing through divisions from Division 10 up to the Elite Division. Matches run for 90 game-minutes. Your stats, wins, and progression all carry over across sessions and seasons.

What Is Rush Mode?

Rush is EA FC's 5v5 format introduced in EA FC 25. Four human players plus an AI goalkeeper make up each side. Matches are shorter - roughly 10 real-time minutes - and the pace is frantic. Rush is available as a standalone mode and also as a sub-mode within Pro Clubs, giving you a faster alternative to the full 11v11 experience when your squad is small.

Key Differences Side by Side

Feature Pro Clubs (11v11) Rush
Player count Up to 11 humans per side 4 humans + 1 AI GK per side
Match length ~20–25 minutes ~10 minutes
Base XP per match 300 (casual), 400 (league) Up to 250
Competitive structure Divisions, playoffs, relegation More casual, no division system
Minimum squad needed Best with 6–11 players Works perfectly with 4 players

XP and Leveling: Which Is Faster?

Traditional Clubs league matches give the most base XP - up to 400 per match. Rush maxes at 250. However, Rush matches take roughly half the time, and it's generally easier to get a high match rating in Rush because you have far more direct ball involvement. A high match rating multiplies your XP - finishing with 8.5+ in Rush can be more efficient per hour than grinding average 7.0 ratings in longer matches.

Competitiveness: Which Mode Is More Serious?

Pro Clubs (11v11) is the more competitive mode. It has a full division system with promotion, relegation, and playoffs. Your club's Skill Rating and division standing reflect your long-term performance. Teams that communicate, use set formations, and coordinate tactically consistently dominate here.

Rush is more casual. It's ideal when you only have three or four teammates online and don't want to field a half-AI lineup in regular Clubs. The shorter matches also make it a low-pressure option for warming up or trying different positions without consequences.

Which Mode Should You Play?

  • Play Pro Clubs if: You have 6+ teammates available, you care about division standing, or you want your full pro stats tracked across a complete season.
  • Play Rush if: You have fewer than 5 teammates online, you want quick games, or you're grinding XP efficiently and your rating in Clubs is inconsistent.
  • Play both: Use Rush to warm up and grind XP, then switch to full Clubs for your competitive matches of the day.
