EA FC Pro Clubs uses a tiered division system to rank clubs from beginner level all the way to the Elite Division at the top. Understanding how each division works helps you plan your season and avoid costly relegation battles.
How the Division Points System Works
Every club earns points through League matches - 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 for a loss. Accumulate enough points within a season and you qualify for the Playoffs to earn promotion. Fall too low and you risk a Relegation Battle. The system rewards consistency across a full season, not just occasional big wins.
The Full Division Structure
| Division | Level | General Skill Level |
|---|---|---|
| Division 10 | Entry level | New clubs, complete beginners |
| Division 9 | Developing | Learning the basics of team play |
| Division 8 | Improving | Some experience, still inconsistent |
| Division 7 | Competent | Solid team coordination beginning to form |
| Division 6 | Mid-tier | Above average, consistent squad available |
| Division 5 | Strong | Coordinated teams with tactical awareness |
| Division 4 | Very strong | Experienced squads, meta builds and tactics |
| Division 3 | High-level | High SR, disciplined and structured play |
| Division 2 | Near-elite | Semi-competitive, very few weak links |
| Division 1 | Elite tier | Top-level clubs approaching Elite Division |
| Elite Division | Best in the game | Full squads, max-level pros, global leaderboard |
Promotion and the Playoffs
Within each division, accumulate enough points across the season and your club qualifies for the Playoffs. This is a knockout match (or short series) that determines whether you earn promotion. You must win the Playoffs to go up - reaching the promotion zone and then losing the Playoff means you stay in your current division for the next season.
Plan for it: don't just aim to reach the Playoffs, aim to peak when the knockout stage arrives. Your form leading into the Playoffs matters as much as your points tally.
Relegation and the Relegation Battle
EA FC 25 reintroduced relegation to Pro Clubs. If your club's points drop below the safety threshold, you enter a Relegation Battle - a single decisive match. Win and you survive. Lose and you drop a division and start the next season lower down. Every point matters - a draw (1 point) can be the difference between survival and a Relegation Battle.
Elite Division: No More Relegation
Reaching the Elite Division comes with a significant reward: you cannot be relegated for the rest of the season, regardless of results. Once you're in Elite, you can experiment freely - try new formations, let developing players get minutes, and test tactical changes without the consequences of dropping a division.
The Elite Division is also where the global leaderboard rankings on PROCLUBS.IO are most competitive - these are the clubs at the absolute top of the game worldwide.
Skill Rating vs Division Standing
Your Skill Rating and your division are related but separate measurements. SR is an Elo-style number that changes with every result. Division is your seasonal league position. A club can have a high SR from a previous season while sitting in a lower division because they were relegated - the two numbers together give the fullest picture of a club's true current level.
