Relentless Playstyle Guide EA FC Pro Clubs (2026)

4 min readUpdated March 4, 2026

Relentless is a playstyle in EA FC Pro Clubs that slows the rate at which stamina depletes, keeping your player running at full effectiveness deeper into matches. Sprint speed and physical intensity stay high even in the 70th, 80th, and 90th minutes. High-energy positions - wide players, pressing midfielders, and workrate-heavy builds - benefit most from this playstyle.

What Relentless Does

Stamina is one of the most underrated factors in Pro Clubs. A winger who starts a match bursting past full-backs can become noticeably slower by the 75th minute as stamina depletes, losing the pace advantage that made them threatening in the first place. Relentless directly addresses this by slowing the depletion curve.

The effect compounds over a match. In the early stages, Relentless is almost invisible - you'd struggle to notice it in the first 45 minutes. But from the 60th minute onwards, the gap between a player with Relentless and one without begins to open. You maintain sprint speed more completely, physical challenges feel stronger, and your overall effectiveness remains closer to your peak values rather than degrading.

In Pro Clubs specifically, where a single 90-minute match can be decided by a late press winning the ball or a tired defensive mistake, staying at full intensity when opponents are fading has real tactical value. If your playstyle involves high press and constant movement, Relentless keeps that sustainable for longer.

Relentless+ (Plus Version)

Relentless+ means the player barely loses any pace or intensity even at 90 minutes - the stamina curve is almost flat from start to finish. For players who run very high distances in matches (tracked in your stats), Relentless+ maintains elite performance through the entire game. It's a niche but genuinely impactful playstyle for the right high-workrate archetype.

Best Positions for Relentless

  • Wide Midfielder / Winger: High up-and-down running throughout the match. Staying at full pace in the 80th minute when your full-back has faded is a decisive advantage. Relevant for both traditional wingers and inside forwards.
  • Box-to-Box Midfielder: The position demands constant high-intensity movement. Relentless is a strong fit for any box-to-box build.
  • Striker in a High Press: Pressing from the front for 90 minutes without fading keeps your team's defensive shape intact at the top of the pitch.

When to Use Relentless

Relentless is most effective when you track high distances in your match stats and when your team plays for the full 90 minutes without substitutions. If you notice your pace or effectiveness dropping noticeably in the final 20 minutes, Relentless is directly addressing that problem. It's also valuable in cup formats with extra time where stamina drains into additional periods.

When to Skip Relentless

Goalkeepers won't see any benefit. Centre-backs who make fewer sprints throughout a match won't drain stamina fast enough for Relentless to matter. Players with naturally very high stamina stats may find the marginal gain from Relentless smaller than other playstyle investments - check your stats to see if stamina is actually limiting you before committing a slot.

Relentless pairs well with Rapid to maintain explosive acceleration deep in matches, and the combination is especially effective in the box-to-box midfielder role where both movement and pace matter throughout.
