Tackle success rate is the percentage of your tackle attempts that result in successfully dispossessing the opponent. In Pro Clubs, it is one of the clearest indicators of how effective and disciplined your defending has been across matches.
How Tackle Success Rate Works
Every time you press the tackle button and commit to a standing or sliding tackle, the game records the attempt. If the tackle wins the ball cleanly, it counts as successful. If the opponent retains possession, dribbles past you, or you miss entirely, it counts as a failed attempt. Your tackle success rate is calculated by dividing successful tackles by total tackle attempts, then multiplying by 100.
It is important to note what does not count toward this stat. Interceptions, blocks, and pressuring opponents into mistakes are recorded separately. Tackle success rate is strictly about the moments where you physically commit to a tackle animation. This distinction matters because many players confuse high interception numbers with good tackling, but they reflect different defensive skills.
Position plays a large role in what a good rate looks like. Centre-backs and defensive midfielders should aim for 70 percent or higher because their role demands winning challenges consistently in dangerous areas. For attacking midfielders, wingers, and forwards, anything above 50 percent is generally acceptable since they tackle less frequently and in less critical zones of the pitch.
Why Tackle Success Rate Matters
A low tackle success rate is damaging for reasons beyond the individual stat. Every failed tackle leaves you out of position. If you dive in and miss as a centre-back, you have eliminated yourself from the defensive play. The opponent now has space to exploit, and your teammates have to compensate. In an 11v11 Pro Clubs match where each position relies on the others, one defender consistently failing tackles creates gaps that compound throughout the game. A poor tackle success rate also contributes to giving away fouls in dangerous areas, leading to free kicks and potential cards.
How to See Your Tackle Success Rate
In-game, you can find your tackling stats in the Virtual Pro section under career statistics. After each match, the post-match summary also shows your tackles won and attempted for that session. On PROCLUBS.IO, search your club and navigate to the member stats section. Your tackle numbers are listed alongside other defensive metrics, letting you compare your rate against teammates and track changes over time across your recent matches.
Tips
- Use the contain and jockey buttons to hold your position and force the opponent into a mistake rather than committing to a tackle prematurely. Only lunge when you are confident of winning the ball.
- Slide tackles should be reserved for last-resort situations or when you have a clear angle from the side. Using slide tackle in front of a fast attacker almost always results in a failed attempt or a foul.
- Equip the Anticipate and Slide Tackle playstyles on your Virtual Pro build if you play a defensive position. Anticipate improves your standing tackle timing, while Slide Tackle increases the effectiveness of committed sliding challenges.
