Flair is a playstyle in EA FC Pro Clubs that unlocks a set of special animations for passes and shots - roulettes, no-look passes, and flair finishes that look spectacular and carry a degree of unpredictability that can wrong-foot keepers. Attacking players who want to add variety to their finishing and passing options benefit most from this playstyle.
What Flair Does
With Flair equipped, you gain access to animations that are otherwise locked. No-look passes become available on short combinations. Flair shots - driven, spinning finishes - appear in situations where a standard shot would play. Roulette-style pass animations trigger on certain combinations. These aren't just cosmetic: the ball trajectory on flair finishes carries slight unpredictability that makes them harder for keepers to read.
The key mechanic is that Flair shots and passes behave slightly differently from their standard equivalents. A flair finish from inside the box can sneak into corners that a standard shot would not. No-look passes can disguise your intention long enough to slip the ball past a pressing defender. In Pro Clubs where reading your opponent is a big part of defending, that unpredictability has real value.
It's worth noting that Flair doesn't improve your underlying passing or shooting stats - it modifies the animation and adds unpredictability. The skill floor is the same; the ceiling on creative situations is higher.
Flair+ (Plus Version)
Flair+ unlocks the full range of spectacular animations including bicycle kick attempts in more situations. With Flair+, bicycle kicks become available outside the narrow conditions that normally trigger them, and the connection rate on acrobatic attempts improves. If you play as a striker or winger who frequently receives crosses or half-volleys, Flair+ opens up finishing options that genuinely cannot be replicated without it. It's tied to specific archetypes, so check your build before expecting access.
Best Positions for Flair
- Striker: Flair finishes and bicycle kick attempts from crosses make this position the primary home for this playstyle. Works well alongside Acrobatic for maximum finishing variety.
- CAM / Playmaker: No-look passes and flair through-balls add a creative layer to combination play. See how it fits into a CAM build.
- Winger: Cutting inside and finishing with flair shots adds unpredictability to an inside forward role.
When to Use Flair
Flair is most effective when you're in areas where creative finishing options matter - inside the box, on the edge of the area, or in tight combination situations in the final third. It's also useful when you regularly receive crosses or half-volleys, where flair animations can produce spectacular and effective finishes that standard shots miss.
When to Skip Flair
Defensive positions get no benefit from Flair. Midfielders focused on box-to-box running or defensive work won't use the animations enough to justify the slot. If your build is already tight on playstyle points and you're choosing between Flair and something like Press Proven or First Touch, Flair is the lower priority unless finishing variety is core to your playstyle.
Related Playstyles
Flair pairs well with Acrobatic for finishing from difficult positions, and with Technical for creating the space to attempt flair shots in the first place.
