Man of the Match (MOTM) in EA FC Pro Clubs is an award given to the player who performed best in a given match, as judged by the game's performance rating system. The player with the highest match rating on the winning team - or the best-performing player overall in a draw - typically receives the MOTM award.
How MOTM Is Decided
MOTM is awarded to the player with the highest individual match rating at the end of the game. The match rating is assessed by the game's AI based on position-specific performance criteria - goals, assists, pass accuracy, tackles, saves, and positional discipline all contribute.
You don't need to score to win MOTM. A goalkeeper with 6 crucial saves, a CDM with 8 tackles won and 2 interceptions, or a CB who won every aerial duel can all earn MOTM without touching the final third of the pitch.
What MOTM Means for Your Stats
MOTM awards are recorded on your player profile and visible in your career statistics on PROCLUBS.IO. Your MOTM count is a useful secondary stat alongside your average match rating - a player with a high MOTM count relative to matches played is consistently delivering match-winning performances.
MOTM does not provide in-game XP bonuses directly, but it reflects the kind of high-match-rating performance that does maximise your XP earnings per match.
Tips for Winning More MOTMs
- Score or assist in every match you can. Goal contributions are the fastest way to push your match rating high enough to beat other players' scores.
- Be consistent throughout the full 90 minutes. A strong first half undone by poor second-half decision making won't result in MOTM.
- Play in your optimal position. The rating system rewards position-specific contributions - playing out of position reduces your ceiling.
- Defensive players: stack actions. Multiple tackles won, interceptions, and aerial duels in a single match push a defensive player's rating high enough to beat attacking players who scored once.
